Maylovelies here is a little AU idea that Maeglin manages to meet his maternal relatives at Fingolfin's court instead of arriving to Gondolin. Both his parents lives, and Maeglin is the heir to the Crown after Fingon as per Fingolfin's request since he can not count on Turgon opening the gates to Gondolin in times of needed help or army. 

Here Maeglin have just met Rilel (my name on Fingon's wife, who I headcanon as a Teleri of Cirdan's people) after arriving for a new family visit and she is about to tell him that she is two months pregnant with Gil-galad
